The importance of forums........

there comes a time in every blogs life where it needs to be reached by its target audience. Forums are a great way to do this.
you have the oppertunity to post content and link to your blog aswell as share it with all other members.
i suggest having at least five busy high traffic forums that you can use to market and share your blog or website, but make sure you do not spam! be intelligent with how you post and always include your site address in your signature as it is viewable every time you post.
you can also try out newsgroups, chatrooms, social networking sites such as myspace and facebook, and also other peoples blogs.
When choosing a forum make sure that it is:

1. Active -make sure the last post dates are current.
2. Content Relevant - its not a good idea to advertise your computer blog or site on a health forum for example. find the right forum!
3. Users - ideally you want a high volume of registered users and make sure a good percentage of those are online alot. you can scope out a given forum for a 5-day period to make sure its right for you
4. SIG - make sure you have a basic option to add a hyperlink in your signature and that signatures are even allowed.
